Exceptions may be made for the following, provided that these exceptions do not extend the student’s time to the degree: (a) One signature general education course (up to 3 credits), if applicable (b) Any prescribed general education course required for the major, if not satisfactorily completed (c) General education overlays satisfied in advanced courses in the major.

The Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education institutions recognize that students who transfer from Community College of Philadelphia with an Associate of Science or an Associate of Arts degree: Courses from the 30 credit framework are recommended to be integrated into a student's degree program at Community College of Philadelphia.
Students are encouraged to visit to explore transfer opportunities with institutions that participate in the Statewide Transfer System and to view Community College of Philadelphia courses that are part of the 30 credit framework mentioned above. To benefit from this program-to-program agreement, students must earn an appropriate associate degree before transfer. The associate degree may integrate courses to satisfy part of a 30-credit framework.
